It’s officially done. After being married for two beautiful years, finally couple Justin Theroux and Jennifer Anniston decides to call it splits and go separate ways.
In an official statement, by Aniston’s publiscist Stephen Huvane and carried by AFP and other international agencies read,
“In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”
Some say the couple first met on the sets of the film Wanderlust while some say their romance started kindling on the sets of their 2008 movie ‘Tropic Thunder’ and the couple started dating by 2011. They were in a seven year long relationship. Earlier Aniston was married to actor Brad Pitt with whom she split and it was her second marriage with Justin. While for Theroux it was his first marriage.
Speculations had already started when Jennifer attended the Golden Globes solo this year while Justin was spotted walking his dog in New York on Valentine’s day. The couple has a posh abode in Los Angeles’ tony Bel Air area. Spotting Justin in NY could mean Aniston will keep the Bel Air home to herself.
Aniston has starred in the cult tv show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and hit rom-coms like The Bounty Hunter, Just Go With It, Horrible Bosses and The Break UP. Justin Theroux has been in films like The Girl on the Train, Charlie’s Angels 2, Mulholand Drive and TV series The Leftovers. He’s also written films like Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2 and Rock of Ages.
